Real Orlando Wedding Vendors by Orlando Wedding DJ Our DJ Rocks

Let me introduce you to Rev. Glynn Ferguson with Sensational Ceremonies. Everyone say "Hi Rev. Glynn!"

I recently asked Rev. Glynn Ferguson with Sensational Ceremonies to tell us his opinion on the importance of the DJ & Officiant relationship, as well as what the DJ/MC can do to make his job easier and what he has experienced in the past that he does not like. Here’s what he had to say:

DJs can look for visual cues from the officiant as to when the music needs to be tapered off...like when the bride comes down the aisle. They also play a vital role in the ceremony when there is a portion of the ceremony that has no speaking. Music is always a great filler for candles being lit, sand or wine being poured, or rings being passed.

As far as dislikes, if I can't hear myself speak because the volume is too high or there is too much echo it makes pronouncing difficult names and words with hard "s" and "z" almost impossible. I once did a wedding at Highland Manor and the speakers we so far removed from the ceremony site, that there was a few seconds of delay. I would speak a word and a few seconds later it would come back to me...confusing!!!
My favorite of his qualities: Professionalism and Charismatic.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Rev. Glynn Ferguson on numerous occasions. We most recently worked at The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne in Downtown Orlando. And we are currently helping with The Bridal Ball event coming up in Lake Mary.

Paparazzi: B&G got caught by Orlando Wedding DJ Our DJ Rocks sneakin' in a photo booth

Charlotte & A.B. snuck into a photo booth at their Lake Lucerne Orlando Wedding. They rented a photo booth from Oh Snap Orlando. Guests also got the chance to have fun in the photo booth during the reception. Check out these cool candids.

Paparazzi: This is a series of blogs, where the bride is the celebrity and the blog is the medium to showcase real brides planning real weddings. It’s a quirky, trendy, outside of the box way to capture a bride’s journey through her wedding planning process. It will feature everything from the crazy day out with the bridesmaids trying on dresses, to the romantic honeymoon photos. Paparazzi makes each bride feel like a celebrity.

It’s a way to share with friends, family and other wedding vendors. It will help new brides discover unique ideas to help make their wedding experience unique. It will teach the vendors about brides so they have a better understanding of their clients.

Get caught by the paparazzi! We want to feature you. Please submit your information and photos to Kristin@ourdjrocks.net with Paparazzi in the subject line.

Orlando Wedding DJ Our DJ ROCKS Gives 2 Thumbs Up for Vitamin String Quartet

The Vitamin String Quartet is best well known for performing string quartet tributes to pop, rock and metal acts such as Coldplay, Jason Mraz, Journey and Nine Inch Nails. They turn songs into instrumental version that sound absolutely gorgeous played on the strings. Their music is ideal for pre-ceremony and ceremonies.

Here’s a list of some of my favorite tribute songs that they do:

Bless the Broken Road (Originally by Rascal Flatts)
Don’t Stop Believing (Originally by Journey)
I’m Yours (Originally by Jason Mraz)
Yellow (Originally by Coldplay)
Viva la Vida (Originally by Coldplay)
Wonderful Tonight (Originally by Eric Clapton)
Bubbly (Originally by Colbie Calliet)
Beautiful Day (Originally by U2)
Dare you to Move (Originally by Switchfoot)
