Your planner is the one who helps put together your ideas and lays out exactly how you want to the night to flow and your DJ is the one who helps execute the time line of events and most importantly keeping the evening on schedule.

I asked Tamuel to give us her wedding planner point of view on the importance of the DJ & Wedding Planner, Here’s what she had to say: The most important factor in working with a DJ is teamwork. A good DJ controls the flow of the reception so it is important for them to know who the major players are such as the photographer, videographer, banquet captain, and planner. Announcements should be planned accordingly and good team work assures that all major parties are in the reception room prior to toasts, first dances, etc.
The relationship of the planner and DJ is very important since both are passed the ball throughout the evening to ensure a smooth transition of events as well as a happy client. Miscommunication can lead to unnecessary hiccups which is why I encourage my clients to work with professional “wedding” DJ’s!!!
